Unable to read data from the transport connection

Hi

I have created a web service using .Net that sits on a Windows 2003 server.
I am calling the web service through a number of PDAs with Pocket PC 2003 on
them and again using .NET

The web service receives an XML string and dumps it into a SQL table.

This works OK the majority of times, but occasionally (maybe 1 out 6 times)
the PDA hangs for a while when calling the web service and then reports a
System.net.webexception error, and then says "Unable to read data from the
transport connection"

The only thing I have found so far is that it tends to happen when more than
one PDA calls the webservice at the same time. Other than that I just dont
know.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian:

Well the problem seems to be with the wireless link. There is limited
bandwidth and connections timeout and are dropped during periods of high
contention.

Hope this helps,
Mujtaba.
