I have a smart windows forms application (SimpleForm.exe, 24kB), hosted on
IIS with XP,SP2,firewall deaktivated.
Then I launch the SimpleForm.exe over http from an other machine (w2k, sp4)
with IE 6.0.2800.1106.
The launch is made by a html-file with a href construct, also published by
IIS at the same directory as the exe.
Both machines are coupled over a local network 100MB and both machines are
memberes of a small W2k server domain.
Whenn I now launch the exe remote over http as descripted there ara
loadtimes of 15 seconds, even when I launch it the second, the third,... time
(see the IIS protocol below).
Why does this take so much time, although all caches on server-side and
client-side are filled with SimpleForm.exe.
best regards
friedhelm

It appears that your application is using the ResourceManager class to load
up resources - Are your resource files large? It also appears that you are
using file based resources - which is why there are extra GET requests for
System.resources.DLL - Try creating a simple windows app that does not use
the ResourceManager class and see if that application takes a long time to
download.
