Visual Studio .NET 2003 Installation problem

I am trying to install VS 2003 on a Dell Server. The installation
consist of 3 cds. One of which is a Prerequisit cd. I start off by
putting in Disc 1 which has the autorun for the setup. The menu comes
up and I start going through the steps. Step one is the Prerequisites
so when I click 1 it asks for that cd. I insert the cd and go through
the setup for the prerequisites. It requires a reboot so I reboot and
the setup starts again. For some reason it wants to install the same
prerequisites over again. It never gives me the option to move on to
step 2. I have tried doing what it wants but it just keeps wanting the
reinstall the prequisites. The machine meets all of the requirements
for VS .NET 2003. All Windows Updates have been done. I need help.

Erin,

What OS is the Dell Server running?
Does the prerequistite step show the same list everytime?
If so, what are they?

It is running Windows 2000 Server.
It does show the same list of Prerequisites each time. They are:

1) Microsoft Frontpage 2000 Web Extensions Client
2) Setup Runtime Files
3) Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
4) Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
5) Microsoft Visual J# .NET Redistributable Package 1.1
