application idle time

I am working on a vb.net project and would like to have a automatic timeout
after a set idle time..Any ideas?

I want the application to prompt the user after a set idle time .
Basically, I want (for security reasons ) to close if the user of the
application doesn't have any inputs (keyboard , mouse, etc).
