Caching Application Block

I tried to use the memory mapped file in my smart-client application hoping
that I could store a persistent cache. But it seems that the file mapping
object is backed by the operating-system paging file, so everytime I close
the application, the caches also disappear. Can someone help me on how to
store a persistent cache, like a file mapping object is being backed by any
named file? Do you have codes creating a cache in a named file format with
metadata?

Hope you can help me, I'm in big trouble.
Many thanks.
