Problem calling ActiveX component from an ASP.NET application

Hi,

I have an application that reads some data from an Excel file and uses
the Excel ActiveX object to do this. I have written a function that
opens the document and reads a value out. This function works fine in
when called from a console application. However, running in an asp.net
web application the I get an error: "System.Exception: Cannot create
ActiveX component." I can resolve the error by setting the web
application to impersonate me. This gives it the permissions it needs
to instantiate the ActiveX object. However, I don't want to run the
web application as me or as the administrator. I would rather grant
the specific permission needed to the asp.net user (the web app will
not impersonate). However, I don't know what permission is needed.
Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this? Or could someone
point me toward a good article covering this issue.

Thanks! Andreas
