2 datagrids sharing a panel

I have a panel containing two datagrids. At any given time only one of the
grids is visible. When the grid is visibile I would like it to 'Fill' the
panel.

I have set the dock attribute to fill at runtime, but the panel does not
increase in size.

Any suggestions as to how this might be achieved
