Messagebox is not showing message

Hi all

What the heck is going on?

I have VS.Net 2003 on windows xp sp2. I open a new VB.net project, Drag a
button on the form, in the click event
I put a simple " messagebox.show("Hello") ". The button opens up with no
text?????? Even furthor stranger the button looks like
a form with a blank button on it??? Does anyone have a clue to what this is
all about?

I have the same thing happening in the C# side of VS.Net. I moved an
application from a machine running Windows 2000, where it worked fine,
but on my new XP machine (sp1), I'm getting a blank message box with a
blank button.

If you have any clues, I'd be interested in hearing them.

Do you guys have McAfee VirusScan version 8 installed? There seems to
be some compatibility issues. Turn on the buffer overun protection
from the McAfee console and you should be able to see the text again.

Please contact McAfee about this issue, my previous attempts were
futile. If enough people complain maybe they will issue a patch.

That fixed my problem (turning off the buffer overrun protection).
