enums don't seem to work like constants?

mm
the code

public static Main()
{

enum Test
{
one = 1,
two = 2,
three = 3
}

System.Console.WriteLine("One = {0}", Test.one);

}

I get the error that Test.one can't be turned into a string.

Then when I do convert to a string:

System.Console.WriteLine("One = {0}", Convert.ToString(Test.one));

it returns the string "one". This is very frustrating. I thought enums was
just an easier way to make constants. This doesn't seem to be the case.

If I converted a true const to a string, it would be "1" and not name of the
enum.

What am I missing?
