Framework 2.0, Visual Studio 2005 (Whidbey) setup problem

Hello all,

I've tried analyzing this one but can't figure it out. Hopefully
someone will be able to help.

I have installed VS 2005 beta on 2 machines with good luck. The 3rd
machine is my nightmare. When I am working with a website, if I try
to add anything new to the site itself, I get an error that says
"Unable to perform operation, unspecified error." Well, that wasn't
too helpful. So, I go to IIS only to find that the virtual directory
was never created for the web app. I try to create in manually and I
can actually browse the site but Visual Studio still will not let me
add items. So, I dig around some more and find that if I get the
properties inside of IIS for anything on the website and click on the
ASP.NET tab, The ASP.NET Version and Virtual Path are correct.
However, the message for File Location says "Unable to determine the
local path of the current object."

Oh, I can easily add items to the solution or windows apps but not
websites.

Running XP Pro, SP2.

Thanks...

Did you know that there are specialized 2005 newsgroups.
