IEXPLORE process memory usage increase.

Hi All,

I am running a client against a web application installed on a remote server
written in C# which involve infragistics for GUI .

The .NET framework I use is from version 1.1.4322 and we use the following
Infragistics components:
* WebSchedule Component Version: 1.0.20033.6
* UltraWebTree and UltraWebMenu components Version: 3.0.20033.8
* UltraWebListbar component Version: 2.0.20033.8
* Infragistics UltraWebGrid Component Version: 2.1.20033.4

At first when the application is up, the process of the IEXPLORE (as seen in
Task Manager) shows 19,924K memory usage and in time when I play with the
application the process gets bigger and performance degrades dramatically.

I tried to isolate the problem and instead of playing with the application I
just added a refresh counter (refresh every 8 sec).
I have noticed a constant increase in memory usage of about 2.6MB for each
refresh!

I have also noticed that when I minimize the browser to the tray bar the
memory usage drops immediately to about 2MB and when left in the tray it
still increases but much slower.

Does anyone have a clue of what might be the problem? Is it memory leak for
sure? How can I isolate the problem? Are there any good tools to check such
problems (memory leaks) in client? Anyone knows of infragistics known bugs
that can be related?

Thanks,

Ronen Tamir, MTS
