load balancing and viewstate.

I have 2 machines that I am running a ASP.NET 1.1 application on. If I go
directly to each machine, and log-on, everything works fine. I then setup a
BigIP(load balancer) virtual IP address and DNS entry for the new site, and
turned on Persistence so that session info would remain inproc. I get to the
first page of the app. However, when I try to log-on...the page does
nothing(except remove my entries). I then try to logon again, and I get the
following error "The viewstate is invalid for this page and might be
corrupted."

My question is, is there something I need to do to enable an ASP.NET
application to work across a virtual IP like this?
Thanks
