Probem doing IPC with PostMessage

I’m writing an Inter-Process Communication system based on PostMessage. I’m using RegisterWindowMessage for my messages. I use Windows.Forms.Application.AddMessageFilter, to retrieve the messages at the other end. CLR based IPC, or any Winsock based IPC is not an option for this project.

Using this system I have a SampleClient App, and a SampleServer App which bounce a message back and forth between them, each one incrementing a counter specified by the WParam of the message I’m sending. I have observed that everything seems to work just fine, until I move one of the windows by clicking and dragging its title bar. This ‘apparently’ causes the dragged window to lose any registered window message that may have come in during the drag. I can only assume this is what is happening as the message pump is hidden from me by .Net. It makes sense in a way, because I imagine Windows would want to make the windows “Drag” as smooth as possible, and so would throw away any messages it got while the drag took place. However the fact that it could throw away my messages at all is somewhat alarming. Does anyone have any insight into this problem, how to solve it or work around it.
