Create editions of an application

Any of you know a good way to make editions of an application???
(professional, standard, etc).
I would not want to install the entire application if the user is only going
to use a part of it and, if I install the entire product, I would have to
check by code what kind of the edition the user has to know if the feature
can be used.

I was thinking of creating add-ins, but maybe this approach is kind of
complicated for what I want.

Is there like an known-architecture to create editions?

Thanks.
