ParamArray method exposed for use by COM

I have a project that I am trying to upgrade that uses VB6 components and ASP. I have gotten to the point when I have been able to upgrade the project to VB.NET, compile and register it for use by COM. I am able to create an instance of the VB.NET class and call methods -- as long as they do not have ParamArray as one of the arguments. When I do try, I get this error message back

Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'Update

where Updaet is the name of the method that I am trying to call. I used OLEVIEW to compare the methods exposed and can see that they are different, most notably that the argument is not marked as byref (*), there also appears to be a difference in the the return value is mapped. I have read a bit about varargs methods and am now not sure that it is possible to create a varargs method that can be used by asp that is written in VB.NET or C#.

I hope someone out there can either tell me that I am wrong and point me down a path to resolve my issue or tell me that I am correct and point me to that documentation
