Cannot start a new project.

Everytime I try to start a new project, I get the message

"Error writing the project file. Error loading type library/DLL.

I have VS.NET ENT 1.1 on W2K (SP4)

I tried re-installing .NET, didn't change a thing
I didn't see anything on this issue, or anything like it, on the MS Support website

Can anyone help me

I have re-installed the framework from the Prerequisites CD, nothing changed

I'd like to also point out that I could 'Start New File' no problem
I could save the .sln version of the project
I could open a vb file in .net no problem

It's just when I try to start a new project
