Using a development server...

I am using Visual Studio.NET on a Windows XP Professional box running IIS and SQL Server 2000 Developer and everything is working fine. I would like to use a Windows 2003 Server running IIS6 and SQL Server 2000 to house and test my applications, but I can't seem to create new projects on that server from my local machine. I get the following error...

__________________________________________________ _____
Web Access Failed
__________________________________________________ _____

The default Web access mode for this project is set to file share, but the project folder at 'http://servername/ApplicationName' cannot be opened with the path '\\servername\wwwroot$\ApplicationName'.
The error returned was:

Unable to create Web project 'ApplicationName'. Unable to create the Web location'\\servername\wwwroot$\Applicationname'. Access is denied.

What would you like to do?

(o) Retry using a different file share path
Location: \\servername\wwwroot$\applicationname [...]

( ) Try to open the project with FrontPage Server Extensions

[ OK ] [ Cancel ] [ Help ]

The wwwroot folder is shared as wwwroot$ and my domain user account has all rights to the folder. Also, my user account has administrator rights.

Please give me some direction...

Thank you so much for your time.
