Writing values to a controls in a dynamically loaded userControl

Hi guys,

I have seen various messages on this front, but none specific to my
requirement.

I have an application that dynamically loads a user control and
displays it on the page during the Page_Init event.

In that control I have hyperlink that loads a new window through
javascript with a calendar in it.

When the user selects a date fron that control is should populate the
textbox back on the caller window.

This all works perfectly on any pages that don't use a dynamically
loaded usercontrol. The problem is that dynamically loading the user
control prepends all control IDs with "_ctl0_" and then the known
control name.

So, does anyone know of anyways around this? I am relucatant to put
the prepended ID bit in my javascript code as this will only be there
for the dynamically loaded controls, and I am not convinced that this
dynamic ID part will always be the same.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks

Mark
