Problem persisting code

Hello all;

I've written a custom component intended for Windows apps, whose properties
are set via a wizard interface. At the end of the wizard, the property
values are persisted to code, showing up under the "Windows Form Designer
Generated Code" region. Where necessary, I've created TypeConverters and
included DesignerSerializationVisibility attributes.

This works fine on 3 of my 4 development machines, however on one of the
machines a particular property doesn't get persisted. Since this is
specific to a single machine, I'm assuming that there must be a problem with
that instance of Visual Studio (btw: all machines are using the same
versions of VS2003 , Windows2k, and the Framework). We will be uninstalling
and reinstalling Studio to see if this cures the problem.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this? I'm at a total loss for why
this would happen on this machine and not others, especially since they are
all the same and updated with service packs and what not regularly. Maybe
someone out there has more intimate knowledge of how the Designer generates
this code and could shed some light?

Thanks in advance,

Derrick
