Inserting info from a datagrid into an existing excel file on the server

Hello, I'll try and provide as much information as I can about the
problem/challenge I'm facing. I have found similar postings to my
enquiry but they don't really hit the nail on the head.

I am writing an application and part of that app shows information in
a datagrid - I am currently able to save that out to an excel file on
the clients machine.

I would like to be able to take that a little further. The data is
always in a particular format and therefore ripe for creating a macro
to manipulate it client side.

What I'd like would be to copy the 'empty' spreadsheet on the server.
This would contain an auto_open macro, then somehow 'paste' the
contents of the datagrid into the newly copied file. Then this would
be emailed.

I can do everything apart from the inserting the datagrid info into a
sheet in the spreadsheet. I'm writing in c# using visual studio .net.

I'd really appreciate any input/thoughts on the matter.

Thanks,

Peter
