The Install for VS.NET 2003 appeared to complete successfully, but when
I start VS.NET and try to create a C++ or VB project, it bombs. For VB, it
says to make sure the application for .vbproj projects is instaled. For
C++, it complains about not being able to find MSCORIL.DLL (or something
like that... I'm uninstalling now, so I can't double check it).
I ran the install again to do a repair (which took as long as the
original install) and that didn't help at all. I'm trying an uninstall
(which is taking as long as the original install again!) and a reinstall
now. Has anyone else had this problem? It almost seems like the IDE
installed, but the languages didn't install properly. Any suggestions? My
next step is a format and reinstall of XP.
