Assuming you are using Smartphone or a PocketPC phone (or one with the
Compact Framework), you're good to go. You may also want to check out the
MS Alerts SDK which is totally kick a55.

if i am using normal notebook or computer with access to the internet via
adsl/modem/isdn only.
anyway to send out sms with the assist of vb.net. i wonder if there is any
component or reference in vb.net would help ?

some people used a sms box, and insert the sim card in the sms box. but that
one is too costly. cos the sms is charged per message
i wonder if there is any cheaper way to do that ?

some internet company offering SMS service, meaning that user can send free
sms online, how did they do that ?

I am getting error "missing method exception". I searched phone.dll and
sms.dll, both are missing. I installed MS .NET Compact Framework of 7.18
MB,redistributable with VS.NET 2003.
TIA
Lalit
