Raising a tab event

I have a WinForm that focuses on high-volume, heads-down 10-key data entry.
That means remapping some of the keys by inserting into the message pump and
trapping certain keys to behave as "function" keys, which works fine.
However, I am trying to trap the "+" key and raise a tab event instead, but
can't quite figure this one out.

Does ANYONE have any ideas on how to achieve this?
