Which book(s) should I get?

Hi all

I am looking for a book on designing and programming .Net
applications. My background is:

- worked as SW engineer for 23+ years
- extensive C/C++ experience

Ideally I would like suggestions for books that assume that the reader
knows how to design and program but just doesn't know .Net. Coverage
of C# would be an extra bonus but this is not a hard requirement.

So "Learn .Net in 21 days" is not on the list :-) But which books are?

Richard Grimes' book on Managed C++ is very good.
