Help accessing masked ActiveX function

Hi,

I'm using an ActiveX control which exports a method long
getType(). Unfortunately when importing it into a Visual
Basic .Net project, the control's method is masked by
System.Object's Type getType().
Does anyone know how I can access the control's original
method in Visual Basic .NET?

Thanks in advance
