Resources created on client or server?

Hi.

I have a vb.net application that will be installed on a server. The client
machines will have shortcuts to this application. I have some questions
about this model:

1) When the clients start the application, will the .exe process run on the
server machine?
2) When the application creates a dataset, will it be sent to the client
machines?

I am not sure if this model is a good model. I would like to better
understand the implications of this kind of distribution.

TIA,
Erik Cruz
