asp.net web application compilation

If I am working with an asp.net web application in
visual studio.net, do i have to rebuild the whole
application everytime I modify any single page?

Whenever I rebuild the application, the main application
dll (e.g webapplication1.dll) gets recompiled and
I have to redeploy it along with the modified page.
Whenever I re-deploy webapplication1.dll, access to
each page on the web-site becomes slow as IIS/.NET
re-compiles it.

So is there a way to not re-compile (or rebuild) the
whole application every time a page is modified?

Najam.
