Character set marshalling

Hi

we are developping an ASP.NET application that stores data
into an MS SQL 2000 database using a 3rd party API. This
API (GoldMine Sales & Marketing) has been developped using
a C++ compiler (presumably Borland) and uses Borland
Database Engine (!) to connect to the SQL Server.

Apparently, GoldMine is still using an OEM character set
for it's inner workings.

While storing information from ASP.NET pages we see al
special characters (éàçè$?...) being converted to other
characters! We alredy tried to declare the API fuctions
using marshal as, ANSII function... but this does not
change a thing.

While using VB6 to store information using the same API,
we don't experience these convertions.

thanks for your suggestions
