can install Visual Studio .NET 2003 over Visual Studio v6?

Dan
Dear all

has anyone tried installing Visual Studio .NET 2003 into system that already
has Visual Studio v6 installed. Will it cause any problem with the older
Visual studio, like pointing to the wrong header and lib file and etc? I
learn from the MSDN site that it suppose to be able to coexist but won't
dare to try...

Nope, works fine. In fact, that's the correct order. Just make sure you
install MSDN prior to Oct 2001 to "link" it to VS6, and then install the one
for VS.NET.

Everything else works.

It will work fine. Matter of fact, you can have VS6, VS.NET and 2003 all on
the same machine..I have them all on the machine i'm writing from. Just
make sure you have the 1.1 framework installed before trying (and for best
luck, all windows updates).

I don't think you have anything to fear.
