C# Program causing Windows XP to reboot

Hey,
i have written a chat client and server application in
C#.It all works fine except for one problem.When a
client,which is connected to the server,exits his/her Chat
client application the operating system reboots.It doesnt
restart, the screen goes black for half a second and it
boots from scratch.any ideas because i am baffled?
