Installation of Visual Basic.net Standard

I go thru the whole installation process. At the very end,
I get the following message:

"MS Development Environment has not been install for the
current user. Please run setup for the current user."

I have made sure there are no administration or security
problems with the setup.

I have also received error messages regarding:
GUID = A9D28E15-E2CD-4185-H9BE-7DC617936ACB.

I went thru regedit, and found that key was installed.

Any help would be appreciated.
