How to pass SQL value from a parent to child Repeater?

I'm using a nested Repeater to display some hiearcy data
that's very similar to this one example

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;306154

But want I am trying to do is take an ID from the parent
sql statement and pass it into he child statement, so I
will only be showing data based off that ID and then
continue looping through the records and showing the
corresponding information.

The parent sql get info from Table A, then the child sql
gets it's info from Table B where the ID = the ID from
table A. I have no problem with this using a drill down
approach, but I'd like to get all the data to render to
the same page.

So I would end up with

ID
DATA
DATA
DATA

ID
DATA
DATA
DATA

and so forth.

I might be approaching this all wrong...

Any ideas?
