Sort DataGridView in order in which values were added.

4 New Member
Can some one help me with this problem.

I want to sort DataGridView based on the order in which values were added, not on the basis of any particular column, unlike the functionality provided by DataGridView. So rt()

The DataGridView defaults to sorting based on the order in which values were added to it.
Unless you re-assign the datasource, not sure you can "Get back" to that sort order if you sorted it by something else after the fact.

Sort DataGridView in order in which values were added to what?

Do you want them in the order they were added to the DataGridView or in the order they were added to the DataSource or the order they were added to your database?

What is your datasource?
DataGrid displays values as is in datasource.

I have a datagridview that allows the user to sort the column by clicking on the header of the column the user wishes to sort. I did not code this, it had the ability when the datagrid was populated. My question is how can I chande the cursor to an hourglass when the user clicks the header and change it back to the default once the sort is accomplished. The database is large and the sort takes a few seconds. Need something to show the...

Thinking two things, 1- Creating a userControl -yeah you guessed it, a multi column drop down combobox - I've looked at several articles and did not find what I need, one that's bindable and that I can use in a datagrid view. 2- Extending the datagridview so that it can be added to the list in the column types when editing columns in the datagridview. I'm really getting PO'd at Microsoft for not including a multi column combobox both a...

Hi, I have a DataGridView, that contains a list of Articles, which can be added (automaticly via the AllowUserToAddRows) and changed by the user. The current item is also displayed in textboxes under the datagridview, to give more space for the user to change the item. But I'm getting some werid results with it: - When I add the first item to the DataGridView, and I change the values of the cells in the DataGridView, these values are...

Hi All, I am using a database which doesn't suppport and since I am using ORM I can not use join query to create table object mapping. So my question is I have a master table which has bunch of columns I want to display. Of those 3 of them are integer columns, which needed to be translated into string by looking up on a reference table. How can I translate the integer values to string after the table is fetched and put in the

I have a datagridview where I set its "DataSource" property to a DataSet and its "DataMember" property to a table within the DataSet. I need for the DataGridView to "sort" through the contents of the DataSet as it binds. Can I specify a column on the DataSet that, sorted, will control the order of the rows in the datagridview? It seems to just parse over the data in the DataSet and bind to it, without my being able to control the order...

I've got a strange situation here. I have a databound DataGridView that also has un-bound columns. When the view loads, I want to update the values of the unbound columns. If I attempt to modify the unbound column's cells in the OnLoad() handler the results are very strange. If I add a button to my view and update the unbound cells in the butt's handler it works fine. Here is an example of the code I'm trying to use (it's test code):...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
