Where are the managed newsgroups for the .Net 3.5 technologies?

Like WPF, WF, and WCF. I don't see them in the list?

Hi BBM ,

For the new .NET 3.0/3.5 technologies, though there is no dedicated managed
newsgroup for each of them. If you have some question about them you can
post them into the following newsgroups:

For WPF, you can post in winform or some .net general newsgroups(such as
dotnet.general, dotnet.framewor k or csharp)...

For WCF, you can post them in those webservice newsgroups

So far there is no proper one for WWF as it is a new one involved in .net
development technology.

However, all of the above technologies are well supported in the MSDN
forum, there are dedicated forum groups there:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/default.aspx?SiteID=1

#Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/Sho...D=119&SiteID=1

#windows Communication Foundation ("Indigo")
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/Sho...D=118&SiteID=1

#Windows Workflow Foundation
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/Sho...D=122&SiteID=1

and if you have interests in Silverlight, there is another dedicated
official forum for it:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/Sho...D=122&SiteID=1

and Microsoft is also putting more and more resource in the forum community
support.

Sincerely,

Steven Cheng

Maybe I'm losing my mind, but... Whenever someone posts code in one of these newsgroups (i.e. this one!) My browser is rendering the code and NOT displaying the source. For example, Ray's response to the question about "Request.form.count varies by machine" renders the text box with the test "something else" in it.

Hi, I am trying to expose the functionality of an unmanaged C++ class to the other languages available in the .NET Framework. I have decided to do this by wrapping the unmanaged C++ class in a managed one. I have taken a look at following sample code on how to do this. http://longhorn.msdn.microsoft.com/lhsdk/ndp/vcmg_appendixs amplecode.aspx

Hi, I am helping to build a web app that's pretty much a wrapper around a web service. The question now is how to store the handle of the web service object between requests. My client is using SQL server for session state so I don't think I can store the web service handle there since it's not serializable. Opening up a connection to this particular service is quite slow so I don't want to reopen it for every request.

Hi! I'm currently developing a DLL that makes use of C++ and .net (mixed) using Visual Studio 2003. Now, as I wanted to move to the new Visual Studio 2005, I converted this project into the new format (compiling with /clr:OldSyntax): everything works and compiles fine. Unfortunately, I cannot link to the newly created DLL from any other application/DLL: LNK2019: unresolved external symbol. I've checked the DLL

I'm a MSDN subscriber and a Microsoft rep used to answer my questions here in about 24 hours. But the last time I know someone from Microsoft answered a question I posted here was on 4/21 when Steven Cheng answered a question. Has something gone wrong with my subscription. As far as I can see it's active.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
