Hello, I am reading data from a sql server table that is under replication. This table has the replicatin GUID column that is generated with replicatin. I am reading the data from a dataAdapter/Dataset using a dataview which is the data source for a datagridview control. When I scroll horizontally in the datagridview control and reach this GUID column (which is not at the end of the table) it raises the datagridview dataError event. ...

Is there an equivalent of the DataGrid's DataGridTableStyle for the DataGridView? If not, is there an easy way to duplicate the DataGridTableStyle's functionality for the DataGridView? Here's the background for my question... Before I switched my application over to the Fx 2.0, I used a DataGrid to display my data. I would store different DataGridTableStyles (each one with a custom set of columns) in the DataGrid.TableStyles property...

Hi, I have a datagridview and some Buttons on a form. When I drag the form down to increase its size at run time, i want the datagridview also to increase in size so that i can view all the data in the grid at a time, instead of scrolling. This is a common scenario but i am not able to figure out how to do this. TIA Irfan

Iím using Vb.net application program. I created a datagrid having text field and checkbox fields. Everything is displaying correctly. I have 9 Columns and each columns are equally separated. In DataGrid property, I made PreferredColumnWidth = 85. So its equally aligned. I would like to give more width for the column named Department than rest of the columns. Because when its equally aligned, I can see the Departments displayed. Department...

How do I increase the default width of a gridview column (just one column, the 10th column, named "Notes")? In design mode, I changed the width properties of the HeaderStyle, ControlStyle, and ItemStyle to 300 px and set Wrap to False for the HeaderStyle and ItemStyle. When I accept settings the "Notes" field widens in design mode but when I run the web site, the Notes field is back to default width. PS - My gridview is bound to...

I have a datagridview with a button column as one of its column collection. The width of the button column is say 50 but the problem is the button editing control within the cell of that column is also having the same width as its parent column which looks awkward. I want to set the width of the button editing control small enough say 20 irrespective of its parent column width. Please help. Thanks.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
