I recently upgraded my server to Windows 2003. The first thing I noticed is that my sample WebService pages no longer worked. The Invoke test button is missing. This is addresed by the following KB article: Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 819267 INFO: HTTP GET and HTTP POST Are Disabled by Default http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;819267 The article advises that a new block be inserted into Web.config (or into

I have been looking around at the documentation and have come across a lot about how to create webservices and consume them. I have a fairly large 3 tier application with a ton of classes in c# that are currently being used by the website. Is there a quick/ rad tool that can take a c# class and generate a webservice proxy/asmx file? Any suggestions that does not involve writing the guts of the code from scratch :) would be really...

Hi, I'm currently developing a windows form application, which should be able to communicate with a couple of WebServices. The Webservices are not created by me or my company and also not in .net but WebMethods (Java I suppose). The first Issue that I have is when instantiating one of webservices I get a "Method myMethod can not be reflected" error message and when drilling down the exception hierarchy I find: InnerException = {"'date' is...

I wrote a webservices that should accept an exception object and log info to a db. When I call the function in my webservices class I get an error: The type System.DivideByZeroException was not expected. Use the XmlInclude or SoapInclude attribute to specify types that are not known statically Is it possible to pass an exception object as a parameter to webservices??

This is the first project I worked in Visual Studio .NET 2005. I created a webservices by asp.net 2.0. The webservice works correctly in my development environment. When I published the webservice to the default website, even to the same machine (my default website already has a webservices but written in asp.net 1.1), I got the following error messages if I opened it from brower:

I have done some new development on older files, locally - then I copy the files, along with the .vb files for the webservices, to our DEV server. Now, mysteriously, no web services are running - I did find that some of the disco/wsdl files referenced the wrong webservice website, and I changed them, but no webservices for this application work on that server I went to the webserver itself, and put in the localhost/path/whatever.asmx...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
