Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:1.1.432 2.2407; ASP.NET Version:1.1.432 2.2407

My site is a sub domain. And the domain is having ASP.NET 1.1 version. Where as my site has been created with .NET version 2.0. I have compiled, published and then uploading it.

The assembly it is searching for is already in bin folder. What is the problem then??? Can any one explain and resolve it.

Isn't it always the case that as soon as you post, you solve the problem? Apparently, adding an extra "space" to a blank line in my web.config file solved this problem. I would be angry that it was something stupid that like that ended up fixing it, but Im just so glad that I can actually get some work done now.

I am not sure if this is more of an expert question, but I am sure that they are out there. I'd like to setup a general application or bin directory on my Win2003.Net Server that will hold some useful utils that more pages on that server can use. As an example, I have created a Page Counter class that opens an Access .mdb file, counts the current entries for that page, and adds a new entry with some information regarding the current...

I'm trying to load an assembly of mine from a C# webforms page, but IIS fails to load the page because of failed dependencies. My problem is that I cannot for the life of me discover the dependency that is causing the failure. I have verified that the assembly in question is loadable by a small test EXE. Is there any way that I can debug the process at an earlier stage, or retrieve more helpful error information that simple "The assembly...

Environment: Win2k Server, ASP.NET(v1.1.4322) Everything seemed to work fine till this morning...and than this happened What could this possibly mean? Is it the file? (The file in the error is not missing nor is it misspelled or on a different path) Is it permissions? (ASP.NET account is given full access to E:\DNN dir)

Hello people, I'm having an issue registering an assembly in ONE server. I've already tried to reinstall the .NET framework 2.0 but the error is still there. I enabled the logging but nothing changed. The only thing I noticed is that it mentions "Using host configuration file: \\?\c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet.config". Seems pretty strange the "\\?\c:" Oh, of course the file is in the .bin directory...

A bit of background; I've got an aspx web application that from time to time is unabled to load an assembly for some reason. This error can happen after running fine for many days\weeks. Its timing seems completely random at this point in time. The aspx source code is fairly simple <%@ Page Language="c#"%> <% AAClient.Server server = new AAClient.Server(); System.Xml.XmlElement status = server.GetStatus(); // transform and out xml %> ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
