Microsoft.Offic e.Interop.Excel .Worksheet & Named Fields

1 New Member
I want to be able to get a list of all custom named fields in an Excel worksheet, but I am having trouble with this. In the code below, access to a field that I named "DEALCODE" works fine - I get the value. When I try to get a collection of named cells in the loop below, I come up with only one entry: 'Portfolio Company Information'!Pr int_Area

The part before the ! is obviously my sheet name, but I have a whole slew of custom named cells in the sheet and I want to get a list. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!

Code snippet:

Workbook currentCompanyF ile = xlApp.Workbooks .Open(current_f ileNameDir, false, true, 5, "", "", true, XlPlatform.xlWi ndows, "", true, false, 0, true, true, false);

Sheets allSheetsInCurr entBook = currentCompanyF ile.Worksheets;

Microsoft.Offic e.Interop.Excel .Worksheet first_sheet = (Microsoft.Offi ce.Interop.Exce l.Worksheet)all SheetsInCurrent Book.get_Item(w sName_1);

//this works, gets the value of a named field called 'DEALCODE'
xlApp.Goto("DEA LCODE", false);
deal_code = xlApp.ActiveCel l.FormulaR1C1.T oString();

//i want this to return all the named fields, including 'DEALCODE', but
//it returns only 'Print_Area'
foreach (Name this_name in first_sheet.Nam es)
Console.WriteLi ne(this_name.Na me.ToString());

I have a library (named DSG) created in C# which other programs use to build Excel spreadsheeets. This library uses the office PIAs "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll" and also references the Microsoft Office v10 library using ActiveX. Hi all, Using C#, I've created a simple wrapper class for using Excel. I have Office Pro 2003 installed on my devel machine. The wrapper class works great, reading and writing to/from Excel. To do this, I created a reference to "Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object Library", and have a "using Excel;" directive. I decided to add a method for creating a TextBox using the Shapes.AddTextBox method, which requires a

I have been working hard to clean up my code but I am still wondering why all incoming records go to the "AddNew" part of the IF statement and never to the Edit alternative. I believe that it must be because my rs.index never really receives the value from the cell in the spreadsheet that it should use to compare to the corresponding field in the Access DB. I have named the field "rtitle" in Access and made it an index called riskIndex. I am an...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
