I added an Ajax Rating Control in a GridView using the code

<asp:TemplateFi eld HeaderText="Rat ing">
<ItemTemplate >

<ajaxToolkit:Ra ting ID="Rating2" runat="server" EmptyStarCssCla ss="emptyRating Star" FilledStarCssCl ass="filledRati ngStar"
OnChanged="Rati ng2_Changed" StarCssClass="r atingStar" WaitingStarCssC lass="savedRati ngStar" Width="128px" CurrentRating=" 0" AutoPostBack="f alse" ReadOnly="false ">
</ajaxToolkit:Rat ing>

</asp:TemplateFie ld>

This will display the star symbols(rating) in a Grid. But when i click the star rating how can we read the row index of a Grid? when i click the rating no Grid events are executed...only execute the Rating2_Changed event. Pls help me.

I am writing a ASP.NET(VB) application and am having some trouble. I have a datagrid which list users and when an admin clicks "edit" a defined column becomes visible and a dynamic listbox control is added to that column/row. When the admin clicks "update" I am unable to retrieve the values that were selected from that listbox. Basically, This is a multi-select listbox, so I need to loop to pull all selected items. This is the only...

Hi, I have the following problem in asp 1.1. On my web page, when I click on a menu, a postback is generated. On the post back, I create dynamically with LoadControl a WebGrid (from InterSoft) that I want to display back. And it works. But this grid generate “asynchronous postbacks” when the user update a line on the grid. I catch on server side this postback and IsPostback is true has expected. I go through the entire expected...

Hi I have asked this on the official asp.net forums but no luck so thought I'd try here Assume you have a page with a filter control and a grid view and many other controls on it. When the filter changes you want the gridview to change but nothing else. In particular all you would like to happen is for an ajax call to occur and a new grid view to be returned.

Hi, I have a question about AJAX and ASP.Net controls. I'm working on a system that requires pages to be generated dynamically based on XML to provide the layout (eg text boxes, dropdowns, save button etc) and a dataset to provide the data to populate these fields. I'm tring to do this using composite controls. I would have a control to display a single record (formview), another control to display a grid of records (datasheet), another...

We've developed various custom controls that use Page.ClientScript.RegisterExpandoAttribute. This method creates a variable at the bottom of the page and populates its properties. My problem is that my control is in the edit template of a grid view. When initially viewing the page, the control isn't created so registerexpandoattribute doesn't fire. When I click edit the grid shows the edit template, causing the control to get created...

I'm developing an ASP.NET Page that processes some files, does some things to them. I'd like to have a gridview that displays each file, and it's status, if it's done processing, still processing, etc. The page runs for about a minute per file, so I was hoping I could use an AJAX UpdatePanel control to refresh the gridview as a file is done being processed. Is this doable?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
