their is unsafe method to tell .Net framework to neglect the cross thread communication i think it's CheckForIllegal CrossThreadCall s but this is for Windows Applications only. you should assign this property to false.
their is another method also for Windows Applications only the InvokeRequired property also bool property that os true then this control (form, textbox,l abel,....etc) is called from another thread, if false then it's called from this thread
Do this help?

Howdy All, I am having difficulty with two-way communication across AppDomains in an attempt to dynamically script applications. Everything works as expected, except when using ByRef parameters. The below explanation is lengthy, but well worth the read. If you can help me, I'd gladly share this code which has greatly helped my development of extensible applications.

Here's what I want do: Have a main daemon which starts up several threads in a Boss-Queue structure. From those threads, I want them all to sit and watch a queue. Once an entry goes into the queue, grab it and run a system command. Now I want to make sure that system command doesn't hang forever, so I need some way to kill the command and have the worker thread go back to work waiting for another queue entry.

Hi For my application server, I had to overcome some limitations in older COM-database drivers, whers sessions per driver instance are limited. Instantiating the COM component several times does not help, since it still reports the same Process ID to the DB server, so the limit persists. When launching several external components (EXEs), each loading its own database driver, the limitation problem is solved. I built this using .Net...

It works fine when only one Progresschanged is fired, but at the second, third, fopurth etc it raises everytile a 'Cross-thread operation not valid"-exception on lmy...

I was wondering if there was a utility that could tell you when your C# application is making cross-apartment COM calls. I have a fairly large application that makes extensive use of a 3rd party object system that is exposed to .NET through COM, and I'm really trying to avoid slow cross-apartment calls. Also, is using Invoke() on a class created from the main thread a solution to making COM calls into that thread? Thanks.

Hello, I made an application that uses the main thread for the UI, and another thread to communicate through the RS232 port. I would like the communication thread to be suspended immediately when the user presses the ESC key. It should resume when the user answers a dialog box. The Thread.Suspend cannot be used anymore in .NET and I'm trying to figure out how to do this differently. Can anyone help? Cheers, Max.

Here is the page architecture: Page loads multiple user controls (including nested user controls) dynamically based on parameters provided into place holders. Note: The page only has the logic to load the user controls and subscribe to custom event exposed in the user controls. Scenario: User comes to this page fills the fields generated by multiple user controls and then hits "Save" button in one of the forms.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
