Dependency Walker for .net

For years I have lived and died by depends.exe (Dependency Walker) to
determine what other DLL/modules my C/C++ code needed for installs. Is
there such a tool for .net assemblies?

Does anyone know of a tool, similar to Depends.exe (Dependency Walker) for ..NET assemblies? I'm looking for a way to report on inter-assembly dependencies. Maybe a Visio plugin that would help map out dependencies without littering the UI with properties, methods, etc? Thanks, Mark

Hi I am trying to find a tool that shows a dependency tree for method calls from an assembly. If the method call chain goes across assemblies, this would also be shown I have looked at dependency walker and Reflector for .Net, these tools show assembly dependencies but I want drill down one more level to get the assembly method call dependencies Cheers Mike

Say ... does anyone know of a good (perhaps free) .NET assembly dependency walker? Because when you have a project A with a reference B which is also a reference of C, and C is also a reference of A, and you recompile B in project A but not C, you get that error "Dependency B.dll in project A cannot be copied to build directory because it would overwrite the dependency (old version of B.dll)", but it doesn't tell you that the old version...

Error: The dependency '<my dll>' in project '<my project>' cannot be copied to the run directory because it would conflict with dependency '<my dll>'. I am getting a dependency error building my application that was using some other namespaces that I had built and incorrectly referenced to the dll instead of the project, but I ended up removing the reference entirely but my project keeps getting the error. How do I tell my project to...

I've completed migrating one of our company's C++ Managed Code applications to VS2005. I'm now attempting to run the application but there seems to be problems when accessing an object that is properly exported from a utility dll of ours. The dll is written in MFC with sections of C++ Managed Code. The dll exports its objects in the same manner as any VS2005 Solution Wizard driven win32 dll base code, using the model: ...

Hi, We code DLL's and so far it was done using VS6.0. We are planning to migrate the VS.NET 2005 and use the VS6 VC++ code which generated the DLL to VS 2005 VC++.NET. However we donot plan to use any of .NET features as of now. I just need the C++ code to compile and generate me the .dll file. When I tried porting it to VC++.NET, the project file was converted and an adding the dependency include / bin folders, the project compiled to a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
