Not recognized extension element on transform

I am trying an XSLT transformation using the XslCompiledTran sform class. I
get an exception when I call the Transform method. It seems to point to these
two lines:

<xsl:namespac e name="{$schemaP refix}" select="$schema Namespace"/>
<xsl:namespac e name="{$prefix} " select="$target Namespace"/>

The exception looks like:

System.Xml.Xsl. XslTransformExc eption: 'select' is not a recognized extension
element. An error occurred at c:\temp\xsdtows dl.xsl(65,13).

The transformation seems to work OK when run from XmlSpy but I don't know
why this exception is raised. Any ideas?

Thank you.

XSLT 1.0 does not include a xsl:namespace element.

The 'select' above is not an element, so either you misread the error
message or it is very poorly phrased.

I just posted the error message (stack trace). I think that the processor is
confused since the xsl:namespace is not a recognized element.

Thank you for the response. This is good information. Where could I look to
find the supported elements?

Apparently this element is included with XSLT 2.0 (XmlSpy seems to recognize
this). How can I get the .net Xsl classes to use 2.0?

MSDN has this reference
<http://msdn2.microsoft .com/en-us/library/ms256069.aspx>, it is
originally for MSXML, Microsoft's COM based XML software package but
XslCompiledTran sform in .NET supports XSLT 1.0 as well and the same
extension element (mxsl:script).

XslCompiledTran sform does only support XSLT 1.0. If you currently want
to use XSLT 2.0 with .NET then you need to use Saxon from
<http://www.saxonica.co m/>.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
