Value does not fall within the expected range - Crystal Report hot fix

Hi
I've created a fresh Crystal Report in Visual Studio .NET 2003.
I'm aware of the problem that Crystal Reports .NET have by default.

I'm trying to pass a string parameter to my report.
If my string is longer than 254 characters I get this error: "value
does not fall within the expected range".
Bussines Objects provides a solution to this error -> install the hot
fix service pack.

I installed the hot fix ( crnet11win_en.z ip -- Crystal Reports for
Visual Studio .NET 2003 ) but my problem is not solved.
Version of the reference to CrystalDecision s.CrystalReport s.Engine is
still 9.2.9500.1
Its not getting updated and I still get the same error.

What should I do??

Hello, I really, really, need some help here - I've spent hours trying to find a solution. In a nutshell, I'm trying to have a user input a value in form's textfield. The value should then be assigned to a variable and output using document.write. (Note, there is no submit button or other form elements. Basically

I want to loop thru an array of controls,(39 of them...defaults = 0). If value is null or non-numeric I want to assign the value of "0". rowString = "L411" //conrol name if (isNaN(eval ("document.forms."+rowString+".value")) == true ) { //this alert works if the value is a letter,i.e,"a" alert("You have entered an non-numeric value.\nEnter a number in the appropriate box.");

Hi, I have an application that opens a Crystal report document and passes in a value to a parameter in the report (pointing to an Oracle DB). However, if I want to pass a "null" value to retrieve all records that have no data for the specified field that the parameter is a condition of (ie. SELECT * from <table> where <field> is null"), it returns nothing. I think CR is building the SQL statement like "SELECT * from <table> where <field>...

Hello, I am trying to show a Crystal Reports 10 Enterprise report in an ASP.NET page (C#). I can run the report via the admin console just fine. When I try to show the report, after setting up its parameters, I get: "Value does not fall within the expected range." How are people interacting with the Crystal Report viewer to set the parameters on a report? I haven't found any useful documentation at

I am using Crystal reports version 11.2 to create reports. The data source is SQL Server, and I am using views rather than reporting directly from tables. I apply selection criteria to the incoming records at record level and at group level. For example, I may select all bill lines with a receipt date within a certain date range. This results in a list of bill lines within that date range. The records are grouped and values on the records...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
