Get data source object

I have a DataSource and a DataMember (like with standard bindings). Now, I
want to write a function that gets the source object from them. So, let's
say DataSource is a dataset and DataMember is "MyTable.Co l1", I want to
return MyDataSet.Table s("MyTable")

I decompiled BindingContext and CurrencyManager classes to see how it can be
done, and from what I understand, it is done with the TypeDescriptor class,
like this:

DataSet ds = new DataSet();
ds.Tables.Add(" Table1");
PropertyDescrip tor Prop = TypeDescriptor. GetProperties(d s)["Table1"];

However, this doesn't work. Prop stays null. So, how am I supposed to do
that? Am I near the solution or completly off the track?

Thanks!

Etienne

Is there a way to carry data that I have already read from the datagrid from page to page? I am looking at my Datagrid that I page through and when the user says get the next page, I have to go to the database to get the next page. Is there a way to use the dataset to allow us to read back and forth in it instead of going back to the database to get it? Thanks,

I have a DataGridView with a TextBoxColumn. I setting the data source to a List<stringvalue in a static class. The list is filled from a background thread. So far all is fine and it works great, at least on my system. The reason I am doing this is some customers are pulling from VPN connections which are slow. This allows the list of rows in the data grid to appear a little quicker while the list which are not used as soon load in...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
