VS.NET 2K5 editor problems

When I add a new line in my VC++ application, the editor is really slow to
add the new line. Is there a configuration setting I can use to speed up
line add's? Thanks.

How much memory does your computer have? How fast is your processor? (Just
curious)

I have noticed that on my system, VS2K5 is significantly slower than 2K3.
it might very well be the memory needs that make your editor slow.

what i have done on my system is turn off all the XP eye candy.
you can do this from the control panel -> system -> advanced -> performance.

that made some difference.

kind regards,
Bruno.

I am having a problem with Internet Explorer and javascript on a WYSIWYG editor I am creating. It all works in Mozilla, but IE returns flase for queryCommandEnabled('forecol'). JS isn't my strong suit, so I am turning to all you experts for help. What am I missing here? Other commands like formatblock, fontsize and fontname all work fine, so I assume that it has something to do with not getting the correct selection because of the iframe....

I've written quite a bit of early php code, but nothing really web and database-specific (more like administrative and maintenance stuff for LINUX), but now I need to develop some serious web applications. Since I wanted to be portable, I installed Apache, MySQL and PHP5 on one of my Windows XP laptops. I'm having problems: First, I can't find a REALLY good editor for php on Windows. If anyone out here knows of a really good editor I would be...

Index (zero based) must be greater or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list. I can't find any help on this error, or see any reason...

Hi I use progid:DXImageTransform to set the style of a table row. From time to time vs editor changes this to: progid: DXImageTransform - it addes an extra space after the progid: - this cause the DXImageTransform not to work properly and I have to go and edit it to remove the space. Disabling vs HTML/XML automatic formating doesn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I am developing a VB project in VS2005 that has SP2 installed. This is the process that is causing a problem: Open VS2005, open the project Write some code in the code editor Run the project in debug mode, test some of the forms Close the main form which returns me back to the VS2005 code editor *At this point, when I type anything in the code editor, parenthesis are inserted after every letter I type. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
