wsdl.exe bug for .Net v1.1.4322?

When I attempt to compile C# code generated via wsdl.exe for a wsdl that was
supplied to me I get the following errors when I compile the code "
C:\dev\csharp_a vago>csc TaskWithdraw.cs
Microsoft (R) Visual C# .NET Compiler version 7.10.6001.4
for Microsoft (R) .NET Framework version 1.1.4322
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 2001-2002. All rights reserved.

TaskWithdraw.cs (46,22): error CS0542: 'TaskWithdraw': member names cannot be
same as their enclosing type
TaskWithdraw.cs (36,14): (Location of symbol related to previous error)

Now this turns out be a problem within the wsdl file i.e it seems that one
cannot have a name literal for "Operation" the same as the "Service" name

The wsdl validates ok and it also it validates & compiles ok when I use
Apachae AXIS WSDL2Java. Is this a bug with wsdl.exe?

I am trying to use a web service from a non Microsoft product. When I do a "Add Web Reference" from the Visual Studio dialog box, a request is generated and received by the web services supplier. This request contains information in the "Authorization:" header. Valid WSDL is returned and the dialog box correctly shows the services and methods available. However, a second request is also sent to the WS supplier for the same information. This...

Hi, I am trying to hook into Yellow Freight's rating webservice. Below is the wsdl. When i try and create a proxy file with wsdl.exe i get the following errors, see below. Also, when i reference this wsdl in .NET it seems to do it fine, yet there are no objects to reference except RateQuoteBeanService. In the WSDL it looks like there should be getRateQuote, and QUOTEREQUEST, etc.

I am having a devil of a time getting WSDL.EXE to consume a WSDL file that describes a web service (known as AXL) on a Cisco phone switch. The WSDL file references four schemas and (I believe) two namespaces via imports and includes. If anyone can help me look at the actual files, I'll be more than happy to provide them. What follows is the text of a post on a Cisco programmers forum that describes the problem I'm having. I'm posting...

Hi all, One of my developers is having this problem. His asmx and asmx.cs files are good. However, when he launches the web service page in IE, he's not getting the list of web methods. His WSDL output is always empty, the kind you get when you add a brand new ASMX file to a project. What's really weird is that other users don't have this problem with the same solution (it's under source control, and we've compared files). I even...

Using .NET framework 1.1 SP1, .NET framework SDK 1.1 SP1, Visual Studio .NET 2003, hotfixes 892202 and 823639. I create a proxy class using wsdl.exe, and in the serialized XML request, I see that any elements that are nested elements in the schema (not global elements) have their namespaces set to the null namespace. I can see that the proxy classes have serialization attributes specifying these nested elements as unqualified: ///...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
