NotSupportedExc eption thrown when calling web service proxy functi

I have added a web reference to my pda applcation so that it can consume a
small web service I wrote. When the pda app tries to call the web service
function, a NotSupportedExc eption is thrown. The web service functions I am
trying to call return either nothing (void) or a class object. Does anyone
have any idea why the exception?

Thanks for any help in advance

I'm running an app through auto-deployment ( ex. http://localhost/SampleSolution/SampleProjMain/bin/Main.exe ). I'd like to display a list of loaded assemblies, so I'm stepping through an array of assemblies returned by AppDomain.CurrentDomain.GetAssemblies(). Sometimes the following exception is thrown when I try to access the assembly's locaion: "System.NotSupportedException: The invoked member is not supported in a dynamic module. at...

Hi There, I've generated a C# file from a wsdl file using wsdl.exe utility. Then I created a console application and made a call to the method generated, first I got the error: "The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Access Denied." Then I added a proxy validating and proxy credentials and got this:

Hi Scenario: I am calling a web method from a WinForms method. The proxy of the web service then checks one of it's settings. Depending on the setting I want the proxy to call a method in the instance of the WinForms class that called the web method. Once the client-side method is complete the web method needs to continue its processing. Unfortunately, I can't send a reference of the class to the proxy as the proxy may be called by...

We are attempting to make a request to a web service (we will refer to it as XXXServices) hosted on a Web Logic server from a C# SOAP client. The server responds with a 401 Unauthorized error (that appears in plain text), and causes the client to crash. This C# code has been deployed both as an ASP.NET application and a WinForms app, each of which produced the same result. Further, moving the clients from a Windows XP machine to Windows...

I've just studied the "how to" web service and the async pattern in donnet.I make a test with these knowledges, but I got a strange result. Here is my test. 1.Write a simple "Add" service named MathWS( the class name),and put it in a ..asmx file named math.asmx in the "D:/winnt/interpub/wwwroot/mathws" directory. "mathws" is my new-built directory. 2.run the http://localhost/mathws/math.asmx,find it works well, and run run the...

Hello , i'm calling a webservice generated with oracle webservice java tools. I'm not able to add a web reference to a .net client the usual way with visual studio 2005. I was therefore provided with a set of Dll that implement the proxy needed to consume this web service. I'm now wrapping these dlls in a .Net webservice that can be consumed with Visual studio the familliar way.

I am calling a web service that is implemented by XFire+Tomcat within my corporate firewall. My ASP.NET client application makes two calls to this web service. The first succeeds, and the second fails with this error message: "System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine" I started Fiddler, and saw the request and response for the first web service call. However, it...

Hi, Recently I'm confused by this exception. ----- The message could not be processed. This is most likely because the action 'http://tempuri.org/IBCC2MatrixService/UserMatchingSearch' is incorrect or because the message contains an invalid or expired security context token or because there is a mismatch between bindings. The security context token would be invalid if the service aborted the channel due to inactivity. To prevent the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
