Creating query with component

I've been looking for a component that gives the users of my application the
opportunity to create custom data queries per drag'n'drop - just Access does
it. Is there any (commercial or not) component out there for this?

I am creating a component and I want one of my properties to be an embedded class with its own properties. When the component designer shows this property I want it to be able to expand this property in-line to enable the end-user to set its values. While my component is derived from System::ComponentModel::Component, my embedded class has to be derived from something else in order for it to be shown as an embedded class but be...

Hi, In my application, on some given actions while debugging in Visual Studio, I suddenly get a "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception was unhandled" Message="Error creating window handle." exception. The problem is that this exception isn't raised somewhere in a method, so it just shows up, and it causes the application to shut down. Is there anyway how to catch this kinds of exceptions? Can I put somewhere a

I am glad to present to the community of this group the new version of our component intended for visual building of SQL queries via an intuitive interface - Active Query Builder (http://www.activequerybuilder.com/). It has full support for MS SQL Server dialect starting from version 7 to 2005. Active Query Builder can be used in different development environments. Today our visual component is availiable in the following editions:...

I want to create a form that will allow the user to select from a list of available reports and based on a filter limit the records displayed in the report. I have figured out how to access the reports collection to populate a list box containing the report names. The filter I currently have lists some key fields that I think the user may want to filter on. A WHERE string is constructed based on the feilds that the user inputs values into....

I'm trying to perform an update, and I can't avoid this error - I've tried this query what must be 5 different very fundamentally different ways now. Arg. I used to be a DBA in large DB2 and SQL Server environments, but I'm a little rusty, plus I'm very new to Access. I am trying to perform a calculation based on information in a few tables, and use the result to update another. Should be simple, here's what counts from the tables...

I am trying to create an instance of a 3rd party COM component, and I'm getting an error. I've opened a ticket with this vendor as well, but I want to approach it from the C# .NET side to make sure I'm not missing anything. I did recently upgrade the product we are using to a newer version, I'm wondering if that has anything to do. I did re-add the references to DOCSObjects however. I try to create an instance of the object as follows,

How to create a database connection without using wizards Introduction I've seen a lot of questions on the net about getting data from, and saving data to databases. Here's a little insight how to do that using .NET code. I prefer using code instead of wizards, because you are completely in charge of connections. This article is written for both Visual Basic.NET 2005 and C# 2005 and will discuss how to use an MS Sql database. OleDB works...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
