_CrtDumpMemoryL eaks and <valarray>

Hi,

I want to track memory leaks in my application (that is using <valarray>).
I used the following code:
#define _CRTDBG_MAP_ALL OC
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <crtdbg.h>

But then, when I include <valarray> the compiler raises the following errors :

c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(367) : warning C4003: not enough
actual parameters for macro 'free'
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(367) : error C2059: syntax error : ','
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(427) : see reference to class
template instantiation 'std::valarray< _Ty>' being compiled
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(367) : error C2059: syntax error : ','
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(1124 ) : see reference to
class template instantiation 'std::valarray< _Ty>' being compiled
with
[
_Ty=size_t
]
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(367) : error C2059: syntax error : ','
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(1333 ) : see reference to
class template instantiation 'std::valarray< _Ty>' being compiled
with
[
_Ty=std::_Bool
]
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(1335 ) : see reference to
class template instantiation 'std::mask_arra y<_Ty>' being compiled
c:\[...].NET 2003\Vc7\includ e\valarray(367) : error C2059: syntax error : ','
c:\DEV\mySoft\s rc\converTools\ converTypes.h(8 5) : see reference to
class template instantiation 'std::valarray< _Ty>' being compiled
with
[
_Ty=double
]

It appeared with use of _CRTDBG_MAP_ALL OC macro and I think it leads to a
replacement of the free member-function in std::valarray class by the
debug-purpose defined free macro.

But I can't see how I should use those two elements correctly

Thanks

#include <valarray> before the other stuff.

The GNU implementation of the valarray header (g++ version 3.3.2) includes the comment: // This complication is so to make valarray<valarray<T> > work // even though it is not required by the standard. Nobody should // be saying valarray<valarray<T> > anyway. See the specs. Unfortunately, "See the specs" does not give me a whole lot of insight to why this is a Bad Idea(tm). Can someone please enlighten me?

I believe the answer is that the language doesn't support the ability to retain a reference to a std::indirect_array<>, and would be illadvised to try, but I figure I'll ask just to be sure. What I mean by retaining a handle is that I would like to have a class that has a member field functioning as a reference into a valarray initialized by an indirect_array. template<typename T> class IA{ indirect_array<T>& ia_;

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
