visual basic.net standard 2003 won't install and run

1 New Member
Hi,

I'm a relative newcomer to visual basic programming but have some knowledge of C and C++. however i recently purchased a copy of vb.net 2003 standard. when i try to install it. it returns a fatal execution error when it tries to write a webbrowser key to the registry. then the environment won't start up. I'm using windows xp sp2 home edition and i think this might be the problem. if any one out there has experienced the same problem and has a solution i'd be glad to hear it.

th error i get is a .net error (0x7927e03e) and the installation is nearly finished when i get it

Is urs Windows Professional or Home Edition? .net wont install on Windows Home, so you just gotta install windows Professional.
